What is Law-Related Education (LRE)?—Law-related education, or LRE, is at the heart of the Youth for Justice initiative. YFJ Resources—Through the Youth for Justice initiative, the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) has supported development of numerous resources intended to promote LRE, help organizations develop and enhance LRE programs, and offer professional development opportunities for educators, curriculum specialists, and others. You can also Subscribe to TeachLRE, an e-newsletter for teachers interested in LRE resources on-line. TeachLRE is open to anyone interested in law-related education, and is designed as a service to which State LRE Centers can subscribe teachers in their networks. Subscribers will receive YFJ Net News and other informational resources which are regularly developed and shared by the national LRE community.
